Our jewelry is inspired by a Roman necklace of gold and sapphires. The necklace is made up of irregular light blue sapphires and alternating links of gold wire in the form of a “Herculean knot”. This knot has often appeared in jewelry since the 4th century B.C. As an elaborate and most stable form of a knot with two strands, it stands for the perfect union of two partners and could therefore symbolize a wedding, among other things.
